The Area Action Plan
(or AAP) for Dorking will look to set a strategy for the future of the town including allocating
sites for development, addressing highways issues where possible, seeking environmental improvements and
ensuring that there is the infrastructure required to support it all. In order to prepare this Plan, a
number of consultations have taken place.
In 2010 the Council produced a Discussion Paper and asked for your views on a range of issues effecting the town. Those comments were used to progress the plans for the town and in 2011 this was followed by a further Discussion Paper and a survey on the issue of supermarket provision in the town.
